A WEEKEND GETAWAY
This weekend was our Q2 getaway. My goal for the year is to have a getaway every quarter and thanks to our parents, it's possible!! We love staying at places right before peak travel season so that the weather is not bad, but the prices for our stay are much more reasonable and that is exactly what we did this weekend. Leading up to our weekend the weather kept saying that it was going to rain but we got lucky and it was cloudy with some sun and around 60 degrees all weekend! I will take that! This was the first weekend away where I wasn't sick and so even though we were stressing about a lot of decisions we have been trying to make, it was still an incredibly relaxing weekend and it was so nice to get a break from my responsibilities for awhile. I mean, I did still edit photos but what is a trip without that at some point right?
ACCOMODATIONS
We stayed The Hotel Maria and I HIGHLY recommend!! It was absolutely beautiful!! It was right across the street from the beach and they provided beach towels and beach chairs, cute bicycles (which were in the itinerary but we didn't end up doing), and they had a snack pantry that was available everyday! The room was beautiful and though our balcony faced the parking lot, we even had partial ocean views if you looked around the bend. The staff couldn't have been nicer and truly I highly recommend this hotel!! I for sure will be returning next year!

Relaxing
Bryan wanted to take a nap and I wanted to read my book on the beach so we each did just that. It was so nice to sit on the beach and listen to the waves. I forget how close we live to the beach and it was so incredible. I took quite awhile at the bookstore to choose a book but Bryan was very patient with me. I rarely get to just do whatever I want these days so it was really nice to just take some footage, read my book, and relax.
