"He is not here: for he is risen"
Easter 2024 was excellent! Nellie had the time of her life opening both her own Easter basket and her brother's Easter basket. I used storage bins that usually house their toys and filled the bottom with blankets we had. I then added a stuffed animal they already owned and filled the rest with a few small things and, of course, our favorite cookies from Doherty's Dough! I am so happy with how they turned out and it was fun putting them together - being a parent is the best!!
Church was beautiful and I especially loved all of the musical numbers. My favorite was a song entitled "This is the Christ" sung by Caitlin Myler, who has an INCREDIBLE voice. I felt the love of Christ and His spirit so strongly as she was singing. She was supposed to sing a musical number the day Lewis got blessed but then church was cancelled due to snow so it was really nice to hear her sing today. I am so incredibly grateful for the sacrifice of our Savior and so grateful that I have the knowledge that because of Him I can receive guidance in this life, and have the ability to live with my family forever in the life to come.
After church we went to Bryan's aunt's house and had such a fun time being with family. We opened more Easter baskets, ate delicious food, and walked to the playground. Nellie was the star of the show and Lewis was as sweet as ever in his favorite place - someone's arms. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful life! Today was a good day <3
